Most likely cause is your pump. It coulde be
a) obstructed or b) knackered.
If you are even half competent, you should be able to check if it is obstructed. Unplug the machine from the mains and remove the back panel.
Drain any remaining water from the machine by lowering the waste hose into a bucket - as low as you can get it - until all the water drains out.
Now follow the waste hose back into the machine until yu find the beginning of it. It will probably be attached to something - this will be your pump. Unscrew the jubilee clip (the metal ring with a screw that tightens it) to loosen the hose, and remove it.
(You may want to put a shallow tray underneath to catch any last bit of water)
Having removed the hose, place fingers inside the pump opening and remove gooey gunk / coins / twigs / bra underwiring etc.
Re-attach the hose, tightening the jubilee clip, and put back the flat panel.
Test by forwarding the dial to a rinse / spin part of the cycle - and with a bit of luck - it will work, and you have saved the cost of a call-out and (probaly) a 'new' pump.
If it still doesn't work, then you will need to call a man out - but at least you tried the obvious first!
It really isn't that complicated to check for blockages here - so do have a go.
