Plans for small extension

Can any body please give me an idea of a price for plans for a small extension, 10 X 8 ,it will be off of an extension that we built 10 years ago , so I know that we will have to apply for full planning and building regs as we have used up our PDR. I have spoken to our local planning office and they have told me it shouldn't be a problem as no-one should complain. However , a mates brother who works with CAD has quoted me �300. It seems like a lot of dough, can anyone advise me on a fair price please.

We paid about 350 for a similiar sized loft conversion so I would say it is a fair price as long as they know what they are doing
