In laws are celelebrating their diamond wedding in January. They don't want any of the usual gifts [plates/vases etc] any ideas for pressys. We're having a do for them with the family, any other ideas please?
How about a scrap book of photos and bits and pieces recalling their life together.. stuff about the year they got married, inclusions from the family, esp grand kids if appropriate. Also leave a space at the end with extra decorated pages so they can add to it
Many photos from their past may be damaged, see if you can get hold of a few and get them touched up digitally so they look new, that makes a great present.
Thanks all, we did a collage job for their 50th [and a box of gifts that all had gold in the title Gold blend, etc - shame they don't make Double Diamond beer!] Think we'll go with the scrapbook idea, guests can sign names etc, they can store cards etc. We'll try to do a what happened on that day over the years too.
Hello paulz, don't know if you have time to do this, but you could put together a family tree and frame it. It could be a printed, hand-written, picture tree or combination if you haven't got pictures of some of the older generations. BTW, hope you got my e-mail about the catering ideas.....
