Combi Boilder
1 Answers
I have a Baxi Combi Boiler and would like to know how to get the best from it as I live in a converted barn, which is very cold expecially in the winter. I have noticed that there is no economy button, or setting on the boiler like some newer models. I have two questions to ask.
1) Is it better to have the boiler set to high or low, and/or, 2) regulate the radiators accordingly to the temperature of the room?
I have spoken to the heating enginneer, he didn't say what was best.

With the Wall mounted room thermostat set to 18*C or 21*C depending which room it is located. Then have the TRV's (Thermostatic Radiator Valves) set to number three.
If the radiator has not been sized correctly for the room then it may not be able to cope with replenishing the heat loss and it will never get warm enough in the colder months. Same goes for the boiler it also should have been caculated and sized correctly to be able to cope with the demand, dimensions and fabric of the building.
