Greasy

What will get grease out my settee? My mate sat on a chip and there is a grease patch the size of an orange on there. Cant take covers off as not proper cushions.

Could try putting several thicknesses of brown paper or kitchen roll over stain, then ironing with a warm iron (no steam). This works for getting wax off things, but I've also used same method for grease and it worked pretty well.

I agree with xanderma. Once you have used the method outlined, you should be able to remove any residue with a damp cloth and washing up liquid.

I swear by WD40 its brilliant at breaking up grease, as is white spirits or turps, the downside is they leave a smell for a while but you can wipe it with a damp soapy cloth after breaking the grease up.
