How long should a new boiler, say a new combi condensing boiler, last? Does anyone know what this type of boiler's expected lifespan is likely to be if say installed tomorrow?

Many thanks

I had one installed in 2003 and this year the PCB went, a new one cost 250 + fitting 60. I found out that the fault can be due to these being too near the heat source- a manufacturing / design fault?? Most probably. Ensure that you have a service warranty.
An average of 15 years provided you treat ir reasonably and have it serviced.
I would say about 8- 10 years depending on make. With boilers, especially the new condensing type you get what you pay for. Baxi now offer 5 year parts and labour warranty on a few models included in the purchase price. Good deal if you ask me.
