Holes in Clothes Caused by Washing Machine?

Hi, I have recently noticed small holes in cotton clothing which im sure has been caused by the washing machine. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the cause? TIA

are u sure its not moths ?
If you have not noticed these holes before, then I agree with redhead23. To find out, your choice is new washing machine or mothballs. Take your pick.
There are one or two cotton t-shirts owned by various members of my family with what I can only describe as a crop of tiny holes in them, I seem to think it has something to do with biological washing powder.... although I could be wrong!
I have what u might find is some wire from a bra or something stuck behind the drum.
This is what is happing to mine not one of my bra's by the way wrong colour and size lol
I had this problem myself a while ago... deffo wasnt moths, cuz there was a brand new top in with the load. After several items of clothing were ruined I inspected the machine and found a hair clip sticking out of the drum... Result !

Battyjules are you sure the holes aint pot burns lol
its the chemicals in biological soap powder that causes some cloth to rot try alternating with bio and non bio powder
