The lever arm for a greenhouse window.
4 Answers
I recently aquired a second hand greenhouse and it has one of those lever arms for the window that is filled with wax (I think) and when it gets hot the wax should expand thus opening the window.
You can tighten and loosen a nut on the end which you can use when you unscrew it enough to manually open the window.
It has been hot in there and the window hasn't opened, Is there a particular way I have to set the arm? such as tighten it right up? Or is the thing broken?
