Removal of tar on car

Please advise chemical/preparation to use so my red, shiny car stays that way! Any ideas, too, why this should be a never-ending problem? Doesn't the stuff ever 'set' when they tarmac roads these days or wot ??

No need to buy anything expensive (that you haven't already got!). Get a bit of petrol or diesel (depending what your car runs on) and use a cloth to wipe the tar off with it. Just wash with detergent afterwards. Job done!
