Rewiring a Ceiling

I have recently purchased a chandelier ceiling light however, there are no instruction and I have lost the receipt. Someone please help what wires go where and what a bout the earth wire?

Hi linbin If you still require info then we could do with a bit more as ray asks ?How old is the property ? Could it have been council/government ? is there a round metal conduit box hidden in the ceiling that could indicate that the earth is carried round the system in metal conduit with a fly earth lead tapped into the metal ceiling box then to the fitting. hth Tez

Electricity is an unknown quantity so unless you know what you are doing , get a qualified electrician in to wire your chandelier , make sure they are a certified electrician as if any thing happens your insurance will be invalid . All the rules and regs .have changed . So better be safe than sorry !!
