We had our property done , it's warmer in the winter and cool in the summer ,and the gas bill went down .I would recommend it , check out your council as they have money allocated to help towards the cost . It depends on your circumstances . Worth a try !!
Definitely worth it.
I had my house done 10 years ago - it felt noticeably warmer in Winter.
There was a special grant at the time - I think I only paid about 150-200
Yes I do think it's worth the investment, especially if you plan to stay in your house a long time. We had ours done years ago and compared gas heating bills with our next door neighbour who has an identical house and similar habits to ours. Our gas bill was about 40% lower than hers, although we had also installed double glazing and doubled our roof insulation. With a world energy shortage looming I think anything you can do to reduce your fuel consumption would be to your longterm advantage.
Yes. Yes and Yes again. Had cavity walls in previous house filled with rock wool in 1982. Cost me about 350 ish which was a fair bit then. It was very unusual to have done in those days and I had to battle to convince hubby who said 'the cavity is there for a reason'. Yes - to be filled. I won and know comparing with similar houses that our bills immediately went down. Generally known now to be one of the best value heat saving things you can do. Cant begin to work out how much of our money we kept instead of paying B Gas over all those years. And cant wait to get insulating walls of our new bungalow. .God I sound almost orgasmic! Yes, yes YES! go for it.
