Hi, I've got some weed that's appeared in a pond. It looks like little clover leafs and it covers the whole surface of the pond? Would that mean it's duckweed or blanket weed?
I cleared it all out last week but it's back with a vengeance!?

Any ideas & a solution to stop it coming back if possible would be great.

Many thanks

Hi jon1968, That would be duck weed you've got there, blanket weed is the very fine hair-like weed.
The good news is, the one you have is much easier to get rid of. I keep a net handy and control it by scooping it off little and often but I like to keep some to give the fish some shade and cover. All the Best. Tbird+

Many thanks Tbird+, its only in a tiny pond, I fished it all out with a rake a week or so ago and its covered the whole thing again already! Is there not something I can use to get rid of it once and for all? Theres only a couple of fish and a frog or two in there and they can be temporarily re-homed.
