Wasp nests

I have noticed this weekend that wasps are going in and out of a small hole under the window frame (outside) of our lounge and I am guessing that they are building a nest. How should I deal with this? I was thinking of blocking the hole with expanding foam.

First, get a wasp killer powder from your local hardware store, and follow the instructions. Apply it to the nest entrance in the evening as wasps return to the nest. They'll carry it in on their feet. A day or two later, when no more wasps are evident, seal up the hole.

I personally wouldn't attempt that ^^^^, the thought of a few hundred pi$$ed of wasps gunning for ya leaves you cold!

The council will remove the nest for you, I had to do this about 2 years ago, cost about �35. Then seal the hole.

Strangely enough, Boo, the wasps don't seem too bothered when you apply the powder round the entrance. Some of them look as though they're wondering what it is, then ignore it, that's all.

we had the same prob last year ,got someone out to have a look and he said they were minor bees (look very much like a wasp) but harmless . you don't bother them ,they won't bother you
