foxes,,,,,,,how can i deter them from using my garden

Well i've said it all in the title really ,,Dont get me wrong I'm not an animal hater,,far from it ,I think town foxes are here to stay..When I was a kid living in town in the 60s you would never see a fox,now over the years they have become a common site,In the first few years when you noticed an increase in them ,the scattering of rubbish everywhere was the biggest problem,now people realise as long as the rubbish is secured in a bin and not just left out in bags the foxes cant get at it ..Problem solved .Now I'm getting another problem with them ,,The scent they are leaving everwhere around my house is becomeing hard to live with,I've got a pet dog,and he is bringing the scent into the house,this is really unacceptable,and has prompted me to ask the question..How can I deter foxes from my garden?
