What were the old cabinets that people had in their kitchens in about the 1950s, which were double door glass at the top, then a flap down bit which was a cupboard and work top and at the bottom a double doored cupboard please. They had a special name.

kitchenette
My older sister had a 'kitchenette'. It was a very useful piece of furniture & took up hardly any space in her kitchen. It was cream & red!.
They actually date back to the 1930s. I have a pale yellow kitchenette with a double glass cupboard at the top, flip down work surface with a drawer inside and two glass door slide cupboards with FATS and SUGAR etched onto them and then four drawers and a double cupboad underneath. There's a place in Rossendale that specilaises in them and lots of other 1930s - 1950s furniture. And mine is for sale if you are after one!!
