Mouldy soil

My indoor plants always end up having a film of moul on top of the soil! Why is this? Could this be harmful to my plants? It happens to all species that i have!! Please help!!

this will be because the soil is wet. It could be that you are over-watering. It wont harm the plants. If you water them from underneath and not too much at a time then it should not happen.
just to say - I always water my plants from the bottom but I still get mould on the top of the soil
