Has anyone bought or tried out the magnetic gadget, where one piece cleans the outside of the window & one the inside at the same time? Are they any good?

I found them useless! and if you have double glazed units often fall off - if they stick in the first place

ianmunt - Thanks, we were very tempted, we saw them being demonstrated & they looked quite good. There were ones for double glazed windows & others for single glazed. Glad I didn't get one!
I had a similar product for cleaning the inside glass surface of a fish tank, But it did fall off a bit and the dirt build up on the magnetic surface reduced the magnetic attraction.

I can see you cleaning a first floor window it falling off and landing on the postman. lol

what..the? We did wonder when we saw there was a piece of string thing attached to the magnetic bit (in case it should come loose) cleaning above ground level!
A waste of money.

The magnetic force is not strong enough to hold it to the outside of the window with sufficient pressure to enable it to clean.

Same as the ones that extend from the ground to first floor. They do reach but because of the pliability of the poles sufficient pressure to clean can not be applied.
