I bought a plant with no identity label. It is like a bundle of green stringy 'leaves' around 12" long , some in corkscrews others curly or straight. Very dramatic but what can it be?

Hi annyrub, This sounds like the 'Corkscew Rush' (Juncus effusus spiralis)
Although not strictly a house plant, it can be grown outdoors in the summer and brought indoors in the winter (in a cool room) if you grow it in a pot.
Being a rush it likes to be kept moist. it looks great by a pond edge! Good Luck Tbird+
You beat me to it Thunderbird+!
