Im trying to collate lots of statistics and wondered if anyone knew how to convert information. most people have given me their height in feet - ie 5ft 2 inches, how do i convert this into inches and metres? I need to establish the body mass index of each person so need to get all information into metric (i think?!)
Ta
To convert 5'2" into inches you simply multiply the number of feet (ie 5) x 12 (the number of inches in one foot) and then add the remaining two inches, which works out at 62 inches.
To convert this into metres you then multiply x 0.0254, so 5'2" works out at 62 x .0254 = 1.5748.
In Google, type in your measurement and what you want it converted into then press enter. Google will automatically use it's convertor function to give you the answer as well as a list of relevant sites.
