On a land fill site.
Look in your Yellow Pages under 'Haulage Contractors'. You are looking for a firm that has a grab lorry service. They will come and pick it up for you and dispose of it...all for a price of course!!(but cheaper than hiring a skip).
I think some use the bottom of our lane on a grass verge. They are obviously unaware of the 2000 fine.
If you are a business, soil and rubble is a controlled waste. You need to contact a licensed waste contractor to dispose of it for you. You need to ask to see (and check) their credentials, because it they are 'cowboys' and end up fly-tipping it, you could get to share in their fine as you did not exercise your duty of care.
If I have any surplus soil, I dig a hole and bury it!!!
We disposed of about 3 cu. m of soil by spreading it on our flour beds. Surprising how when spread out like this is so easily assimilated.
What kwicky forgot to mention is that his flower bed is now 5 foot higher than the rest of his garden ;-)
Boo not quite, about 2-3 inches
