Don't know if my calculations are right or not , but I make it approx. 108, 415 gallons . Hope someone can confirm or correct me . Thanks .
1 cubic foot = 7.48 gallons
412500 litres. Approx90750gallons.
Average depth 1.5m x 11m x 25m = 412.5 cubic metres = 412.5 x 1000 litres
annemollie's answer is correct if the swimming pool is of the level deck type. But if it is of the conventional channel type then the quantity is less and to calculate this we need to know the dimension from the surround to the lip of the channel.
Cross-section is a trapezium whose parallel sides are 100cm and 200cm and whose length is 2500cm.
Area of cross-section =1/2 (sum of the parallel sides)xlength, i.e. 1/2x300x2500sq cm which is 375000sq cm.
Volume=Area of cross-sectionxwidth of pool
i.e.375000x1100cu.cm which is 412500000cu.cm
A litre=1000cu.cm
So volume of water= 412500000 divided by 1000 which gives 412500litres
A litre=1.76pints or 0.22gallons approx
So volume of water in gallons=412500x0.22 which gives
90750 gallons
I didn't see your answer, MustafaTickl till now, but I followed the directions which my old maths teacher gave me viz,'Use the information you are given'!
