gardenia

I keep a gardenia as a houseplant, for years it has been fine, however this year all its buds fell off and the leaves have been yellowing and dropping. I have fed it with sequestrene iron rich feed and then tried repotting in ericaeous compost. however, its leaves are now starting to look wilted and i just dont know what to do now. Anybody have any suggestions or tips? Thanks in advance.
