I'm looking at a new house and in the garden is a very large conifer Tree. Not sure the exact height but it is taller than the two story house. and only about 2-3 meters away from it.
As the tree is now quite big it cuts out a lot of light and assuming that there is no presevation order i would want to remove it.
however my concern is would removing the tree cause subsidance due to the roots that are under the house rotting away?
sounds a silly question but i'm just waying up the pro's an con's
Well if it is a conifer I don't think the roots would go deep enough to do any damage to the property, most conifers roots are very near the surface, ask a tree surgeon to take a look, Ray
