Any tips on getting rid of the smell of stale fag smoke?

Open the windows.

put a little white vinegar in a saucer and leave it in the room until smell is gone

Get an ionizer, it neutralises the air and so clears away cigarette smoke.
Also good if you burn the toast!

if it has carpets use shake and vac, use incense sticks also.

Yes candles aparrently kill the smoke, whilst smoking them that is.

Those oil and water burner things are good too.

Another option is to repaint.
