how can I deter pidgeons from pearching on my tele aerial?

Smear a thick layer of grease on it.

I read somwhere that its possible to attach a plastic hawk to the ariel to deter 'em. How you get that onto the ariel i've no idea.

do what we had to do --take the aerial down and get one in the loft.

Does it actually matter if there are pigeons on your aerial?

It did on mine because my conservatory roof is under it .!
