How to remove bird poo from carpet
5 Answers
A bird managed to get into my living room, and has left berry stained poo all over a pale carpet. Have tried Carpet Power, and Janies dry stick carpet cleaner, with no results. Any other suggestions will be very gratefully recieved!

If you ever get bird poo on your car paint work (and especially those who live by the sea, you know seaguls n all) you MUST wash it off immedietly or it will stain!! I live in LLandudno and ive have many an experience!! What colour is your carpet?? If its a light coloured try a little bit or warm diluted bleach on it, try a little bit first in an unconspicuous corner first of all for colour fastness!!
Parmenides, if the stain won't come out after trying several different methods, I would tell my landlord of the accident sooner rather than later. Honesty is always the best policy. He may (or, may not) decide to change the carpet imminently as it may have been on his agenda anyway. Try, always, to see something positive in everything.
The carpet is less than a year old, and its a very large living room! The landlady lives next door, and is a lovely lady who is having a very hard time at the moment (not from us!), and this is probably the last thing that she would want to hear. Will have to own up at the end of the week, but it would be nice to have a solution by then.
