How can I turn white grout black

I have a 5kg bag of "fired earth" floor and wall grout (I can break it down to smaller amounts) that I would if possible like to use to tile between black porcelain tiles, is there something that I could add to the mix to make it ideally black.
I am trying to keep costs down otherwise I would simply look for black grout. Is there anything that I can do?

You can buy colourant, I found this

Colour powder for cement should be suitable. Comes in red, yellow, blue, and black. Most of the larger B&Q stores have it.

First option is quite an expensive one, the second one sounds a bit cheaper. Thank you very much for the help.

If it's powder you mix with water, you could mix with some black plastic emulsion paint. I have done such a thing; albeit white and it seems to be better for the plastic content.....doesn't pick up mould very easily.......Ron

Sounds a good and cheap idea, but I wouldn't do it - not worth the hassle if it goes wrong. Grout isn't supposed to have emulsion paint in it.

buildersmate, I agree it could go wrong and end up as a dark grey. Nevertheless,whilst grout isn't meant to have emulsion paint in it, I am pleased with results in my bathroom.
