Is it safe to eat tomatoes with tomato blight? Is it OK to cut out the bad bits and eat the rest - maybe cooked in a soup or something?

No throw them out and get rid of the plants. Do not compost the leaves but burn them if you can. If you grew the tomatoes in a bed then steralise it with Armillatox about 3 weeks before replanting next year. If you grew them in pots or growbags get rid of the compost and do not put it on your compost heap if you have one. The blight spores will still be present in the compost.

Hope you have better luck next year.
