Hi Everyone, Thought I would update you on Shadow. She wailed again today so I called the CPL. They were very helpful and suggested that I colect a cage from them that would trap her. My Husband went to collect it this morning and we got it all set up with food for her. Not surprisingly, she stayed away from it and was having none of it. We left the cage where she normally eats but nothing. She did have a look at the cage but noting was going to entice her. We had to take the food out and bring the cage back into the building before I finished work. She was very hungry, but the Vet that the CPL recommended advised us not to feed her until she goes into the cage. Vet was also very helpful. Tomorrow we try again and with a bit of luck, we may catch her to take her to the Vet. I cried nearly all day and found it hard to function at work. She looked so hungry when I left her this afternoon. The Vet said if we managed to catch her she would do bloods on her but not to get our hopes up. She may have to put her to sleep. Thank you all once again for being so supportive this week. It really has helped me through all this. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I really hope all goes well for you its ,its so hard when you are trying to help her but she dont no this pease keep us informed on how it goes love from GypsyX
I read your last thread Cruella, and was wondering what had happened with Shadow. I can understand how upsetting this is,as I nearly lost my lovely Yasmin earlier on this year.Just wanted to say, that it's lovely to see your devotion to a cat that a lot of other people wouldn't have gone to any bother for. It's good to know there are kind people looking out for vunerable animals.Fingers crossed for some good news for Shadow xx
I will be thinking of you - it is so hard when you have to make a decision about a pet like that and although she is not technically a pet you have obviously looked after her very well for all these years. I lost one of my own a few months back so I know how it feels.
Big hugs
