our church has used an adjacent piece of land for car parking for thirty years. in that time we have installed a pavement and maintained the area including tarmacing potholes etc. the church buildings border two sides of the land. The local authority are attempting to assert ownership. we feel we have a right to ownership because of our continuous possession. are we correct in this assumption?
