We will be exchanging on our first house in a couple of weeks and, following bad experiences a couple of friends have had recently, we would like to get the central heating checked beforehand just to make sure we dont get any nasty surprises when we move in! Does anybody know roughly how much it would cost to get somebody to do this? Many thanks in advance

It should take less than an hour to check out the boiler and the ancillary components + rads. It should only cost between 45 - 65 with a local CORGI man depending on where you live. This will identify any problems at that time. However this can only tell you about any immediate problems or that it is working fine and everything is ok on the day it is inspected. It does not offer any gaurantees as things can still go wrong and components can breakdown at anytime !!!
