Paper Shredders any recommendations?
6 Answers
I want to buy a paper shredder for disposing of half the contents of my filing cabinet. For some reason I seem to have bank statements going back twenty years and motoring info .. you know the sort of thing I mean. I'd like to buy a half decent mains powered shredder that isn't hugely expensive. I wondered if anyone could either recommend one or tell me the ones to avoid. Many thanks everyone. BizzyLizzy

I do already have a 'rover' but the volume of paperwork is such that she is severely overworked. I tried a goat, but it kept falling off the desk. I feel that perhaps the Rexel is the one worth trying now. Thank you all. By the way, if anyone has used a Fellowes shredder, what did you think of it. I've heard mixed opinions on this brand.

I have a home type shredder, its excellent for small quantities, and will shred expired credit cards which is a useful adjunct, but over heats and then cuts out till its cool after about 20 mins sustained use. (its designed to do this) If you have loads to shred (as we did) consider renting a heavy duty office type one to do the bulk and then buy a home type one to keep up with it afterwards
