smoke smell

hi every so often when i walk into my living room i can smell a kinda cigerette type smell but only in my living room. it isnt there all the time just comes and goes. nobody in my house smokes and visitors have to go outside. it is a nasty smell, my son said it smells like drugs you normally smell on the back of buses up stairs. any ideas what this could be

Are you neighbours smoking pot? If you live in a terrace or semi the smell can leach through the walls.

It certainly happens with my house.

yeah we live in a semi, not sure if they smoke, they dont really seem the type but you never know. is there any way to stop the smell coming through

Could your son be covering for himself at all, my sister hid it from my mum and her husband for years!

My in laws used to live in a semi where the neighbours smoked and the smell used to come through the walls! Nothing they tried worked in the end they just used to plug in one of them air fresheners that let off a burst every 15 minutes or so .

hi donna, no it isnt my son, i know son kids hide it but i know him to well he dont smoke normal cigerettes so i know he isnt smoking anything else. it is only ever in the living room and my son spends 24 hours a day on his computer in his bedroom

Cigarette smoke can really travel - it's horrible!
