Can I connect my own gas cooker?
10 Answers
Is it feasable, or even legal to disconnect an old gas cooker and reconnect the new one yourself? I understand the safety aspects of the job of course, but as far as I can see its just one pipe union to be undone and remade and the jobs done! Hardly worth the 50 or so I have been quoted for the job by a corgi approved gas fitter.

I've always understood it to be illegal to do it yourself - paid or not. Here is the relevent section of the Corgi web site
