Please can someone help! My TV only has one scart socket. I also have a sky box - with two sockets) and a dvd player with one. I currently have it set up as follows:TV goes into the socket marked for TV on the Sky box and the DVD player goes into the socket marked for VCR on the Sky box. My DVD has surround sound and so I have cables for audio running from sky to dvd player so I can hear the sky channel sound in surround sound. The problem is when I turn the DVD player on the tv shows the DVD feed instead of the sky but I need the DVD on in order to hear the sky in surround sound.
Any suggestions?
(blimey, I have just read that back and it sounds super confusing! sorry!)
hi matt,
one thing you could try is,
1 leave audio cables connected to sky box.
2 connect your scart from dvd to a twin
scart block , with a scart lead attatched to it, with switch to go from one source to another. connect the scart from
the block to the tv. then when you want to play the dvd just swich sources.
not certain but may be worth a try.
good luck jason
Thanks Neil, but unfortunately that site doesn't factor in that I need my DVD for its surround sound. I think I'll have to get the Scart Source Switch box as recommended by Timeout1
Why not try a Trust Silverline unit.for your Sound. I realsie it's only supposed to be for a headset but, there are 'Din' connectors also which one would assume that would allow speakers to be connected.
