22 weeks ago i ordered a leather suite from "land of leather". it only arrived 3 weeks ago after numerous phone calls from myself.. when it arrived the delivery men just dumped it at my front door with the packaging on! the thing is when i opened the packaging the leather suite was damaged, i called to complain and the said they would send out an upholsterer the next day. that was 3 weeks ago, and noone has come out! i sent a letter to their head office in kent 2 weeks ago but never got a reply.what can i do now,who can i complain to? i have taken out a 5 year aftercare guarantee with them.

Sounds like you need to speak to your local Trading Standards, they will advise you on the best course of action, and Im pretty sure they will be able to get this matter sorted.......... Good luck.......
You have the right to a brand spanking new sofa and possibly a small compensation claim due to loss of earnings (if any), stress, having to wait in for delivery people etc. Definatly see trading standards.
If you have bothered to take out a 5 year aftercare guarantee with them & they still haven't got back to you, I would definitely demand a full refund & go elsewhere! You must contact your local Trading Standards office ASAP!
I am sorry to hear of your problems but you are just the tip of the iceberg with this company. In the aberdeen branch we were 'stupid enough' to pay by cash which we unfortunately did not recieve a receipt for. six months later they were demanding that they had not been paid. As they have a security system that does not allow delivery until payment has been cleared we thought we would be ok. Not a bit of it we were forced to pay via the courts as delivery does not count as receipt. This nay also be part of a larger scam where innocent people are paying over the odds for their goods and the money being skimmed off. I conclude with yourself and many others that the quality of the goods is totally sub-standard along with their after sales service which is non-existant. One can only hope that the company goes bankrupt.
I found your complaint whilst looking for a contact number for my mum she also has sent a letter to their head office but was told they only deal with southern shops and couldn't give her their northern number. Not only did they alter her invoice after she left the shop leaving her with a larger bill than agreed they made her pay it if she wanted the sofa and it is still overdue.Get your money back and go to someone who will offer you the customer service you deserve.
