writing slope

I have a triple writing slope presented to my great-great-great grandfather in 1880, it is inlaid with mother of pearl I dont know what the wood is, will it be valuable

Value will depend on quality and condition. Have a look on eBay (woodenware) to see if anybody is offering something similar.

Jonsutto - don't know where you are in the world, but most auction houses have walk in valuation sessions. Or try your local antiques dealer. If it's too bulky/fragile take loads of photos use a ruler in the pix, then take them to the above.
