Indesit dishwasher not performing

I have cleaned the filter at the bottom of the machine, checked that water flows through the spinney things, but the machine doesn't work like it used to . Would you recommend me telling the wife to wash up in the sink herself, or has anyone got any other suggestions how I can get my crockery and cutlery clean?

Hmmmm. I just saw the words Indesit and remembered the Indesit washing machine that I bought. It lasted barely 8 months before it stopped working. The guarantee allowed me to call an engineer, 4 1/2 months later, it stopped working again and surprise, was now just outside its guarantee period and Indesit customer service were about as unhelpful as any customer service can be (on a par to BT who are incredibly bad!).
The moral of this story may be to treat your wife to a new dishwasher (I guess your life wouldn't be worth living if you didn't) but choose a better manufacturer next time.
