What is the difference between a 40w SES cooker hood lamp and a 40w SES candle lamp. Can you safely substitute the latter in a cooker hood ??

Most likely the shape - may be enuff clearance with the candle lamp - best to use the same type as the original - B&Q have most types.

Or get an SES pygmy bulb as an alternative.
