where can i get new build house magazines

where can i get new build house magazines, i have tried whsmith but most of their magazines and books only have one or two different designs of houses, i want one that has many different types of traditional style houses i want to build a new house. thankyou.

One of the better books is this one by Murray Armor.

But it depends what you want.
If you are building a new house you will (presumably) have to employ an architect to produce a specific sized house to the design characteristics / features that you like and that fit your plot of land. So I'm not quite sure what you are hoping for at this stage. Even if you buy a book of designs, you need to be aware that the designs are owned by the designer and that they will want a sum of money for the rights to use that design - even if you give that design to another designer to modify.
A better way may be to employ an architect with a brief to produce desgn concepts for you - then the one you like are taken a stage further by the designer. Alternatively take some photos of houses you like and give them to your designer to work from.
Design is a very personal thing.

thanks buildersmate, i have employed an architect but i just wanted to see as many different types of houses to give me an idea what i wanted before architect draws mine, he has got to do site plan, ground search etc first so if you know of any other websites or mags i would be grateful to know.
