How can I prevent it from growing on our tiled roof?

I tried rolling stones on ours, but they gathered no moss!

Seriously though, there are a number of companies who specialise in this - can be found if you Google "Moss removal" there are also compounds you can apply to prevent it occurring it. "Moss removal" gets better answers for rooves than "Moss Prevention", which gets mainly lawns...

Androcles Thanks for that- and yes, of course I should have remembered about lawns....!

Someone did tell me that a good 'roofer' can add copper strip to the top two rows of tiles which oxidises them and prevents moss from growing.....
The traditional way to keep moss from forming on a roof was to lay a heavy copper wire along the top of the .ridge tiles. Rain produces a mild acid from the copper that is a surefire killer for moss. I think there are some companies that still produce copper ridge tiles, or ridge tile covers, that do the same job, but that would be a much more expensive way out.
