my magnolia tree in the lawn now? It's been standing in its original pot all winter, but has lots of shoots on it and looks healthy. Thanks.

Yes you can but keep and eye on the weather forecast and don't plant it if some frosty weather is forecast or very wet weather which will make the earth you fill back into the hole sticky and cloggy. The better you can prepare the planting hole, mixing in some well prepared compost and/or well rotted manure, the better start your tree will have in re-establishing itself.
