I've just got a karcher pressure washer from ebay but it didn't come with a hose or fitting. My garden hose does not seem to fit. Do I need a special type of hose for the machine?
If you mean the hose that feeds the washer from a spigot then nearly all of those types of hoses are standard (at least here in the U.S.) and the usual garden hose will work. It may be that, for some reason, the seller removed the fitting from the pump. You should be able to buy the fitting cheaply at any DIY store or one that specializes inthis brand.
If you mean the hihh pressure hose to run from the pump output to the wand, then the same advice applies.
If you mean the 'water supply' hose, you don't get one, but there should be a Hozelock snap fitting on the side/top of it somewhere. You may need to buy an adaptor for the end of your hose. On this one you can see the green hose and yellow adaptor at bottom right. http://www.fredshed.co.uk/photosdiytools/karch erpressurewasher.jpg
If you mean the hose to the lance, this is special and will need to come from the manufacturer/shop.
Thank you , both of you. I think I'll take the machine in to B & Q DIY store and see if they can find me the right part for the end of the hose.
Great answers, by the way.
