removing polish build up on wood

hello all helpful ab'ers...

we have got a really old chair (It's not an antique but it is sentimental) that has around thirty years of polish build up on the wood.

What is the best way to remove this build up?

Hi eve! An old fashioned remedy I use is vinegar and water, but there maybe a more uptodate alternative.

may try that seelie thanks. what is the ratio of the water / vinegar mix?

try one of the orange based cleaners - they are slighly oily but give great results.
