Just recently I have been sitting there watching TV and suddenly the volume goes crazy and it makes it all the way to full volume without me doing anything.
It's not all the time, only sometimes which I find very unnerving as it seems unlikely to be a sticky button on either the remote control or the tv unit.
What the hell is going on? Could something be interfering with my telly?
I can't watch anything now for fear of annoying my neighbours.
Have you got a small child who loves remote controls?
My tv does this then I turn round to find out my son has grabbed the remote and has whacked the volume up :)
No? Ah well, can't help :(
Being possessed is okay .I knew peolple whos television was reposesed.Bring you neighbours in to watch television give them tea and biscuits .Then later on in the week when the volume goes highwire again they will just say I hear those nice peoples televisions next door is on the blink again.
If only this was just when the ads come on but unfortunately I can actually see the volume going up from 20 which i keep it on to 99 which is deafening.
And I have even tried taking the batteries out of the remote but it happened again!
Mine was doing the same thing a week or so ago..........my Freeview box was dying,so the tv kept 'switching' between digi and analogue.........the tv controls the volume, and the volume was louder on analogue......hope this helps...HONESTLY!!!!!

Being a Radio Ham I can say that I have had similar experiences with Neighbours T.Vs & Hi-Fi equipment in other houses very close to mine (Known as T.V.I in the Radio World). Just a thought BUT is there a house close to yours with a rather LARGE / Unusual Shaped Ariel either in the Back Garden or Mounted on The Side of The House ?. If so give him or her a POLITE knock & mention wjat is happening to your T.V. Most Hams are very obliging. Good Luck.
