Working From Home Paid Surveys Online
13 Answers
Hi there, I am looking to work from home (single parent young family) and have seen adverts online for companies selling their database list of companies to participate in paid online surveys and participating in forums reviewing products etc all of which really appeals to me - where you can fill in as many or as little as you want for these comapanies to make yourself some money. The majority of these are asking for a one off membership fee of anywhere between 30-75 which several people have told me if you have to pay then steer well clear! My ? is are these legitimate? does anybody have any experience of using them? any recommendations of any good ones to use? do they work? can you make any money? or alternatively any other suggestions for work I can do at home on my pc (very competent and able) and where to look for this sort of work? I am in desperate need of boosting my finances into the home and would welcome any suggestions?? Thanks and look forward to your replies

I've earned about 40 since November on this one, and it's free:

Don't do it! There are loads of websites that pay you to do reviews and surveys and none of the ones I'm on ever ask for a fee. They don't pay a great deal and I could never give up my day job but it's pocket money.
A few off the top of my head are:
www.toluna.com
www.pigsback.com
www.lightspeed.com
www.greasypalm.com
Some of them pay n points rather that cash but you can exchange these points for vouchers and stuff. Other sires won't pay out until you've earned a minimum amount.

delsgirl, don't get too excited, 10 was a bonus for signing up! I find the survey's pretty useless, they email you with suitable ones - I don;t get many emails and the ones they do notify me of, they always say I don't fit the criteria for that particular survey!
Most of the cash is made by signing up for brochures or on other websites, 'clicking' onto sponsored links (daily...) or via cashback when you shop through their links. Eg I regularly shop online at Tesco but if I do it through certain websites, I get cashback. Same for other major retailers.
Payment varies from site to site - some automatically pay you once you've reached a minimum amount, some you have to request payment.
