Freeview Problems with ITV Stations
5 Answers
I very rarely get ITV stations, E4, etc. on my Freeview box, it says there is no signal. Is there something I could buy, or do (I'm not techical so easy peasy please) Many thanks. IThe original (old) TV (without the digi box) is tuned into Guildford transmitter ... I couldn't get C5 before I tuned into Freeview. Does that make any difference ??

If your aerial is old you will certainly need to invest in a newer broadband version in order to receive all the digital transmissions on FV, and a new dual screened downlead would also help improve reception further.

A good new aerial is the obvious solution .... but if you only have a slightly weak signal .....
I have an aerial booster in my office (spare bedroom) and it works well..... But that's no guarantee for you
this is the sort of thing ..... http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=I ndoor%20TV%20Aerial&source=15&SD=Y
all the electricals sell them ... so you shouldn't have a problem and will have a good choice.
mine is an amplified indoor aerial but also has a signal booster so both options
Don't quote me ... but I think you'll find that C4, more4 etc have their own feed ... and of course the 4 & 5 signals are the weakest in most areas (film4 is my nemesis)
