How can I remove carpet glue from an 800 sq. ft. area?

This will depend on a lot of things. What type of glue, how long it has been there, the backing on the carpet, the pile material etc
I presume the carpet has been removed and the glue remains on the floor. You could try a paintstripper gun (or an old hairdryer) and a spatula or a floor sander. Either way that's quite a big area so good luck.
