It is early, isn't it. I cut my lawns last week for the first time this year but the local authority has been cutting the public grassed areas for about a month. In a decade we may not get a rest from lawn mowing!!!
I hope you set the blades at their highest for the first 2 or three cuts and then gradualy lower them. Give the grass a spring weed/feed in April for a healthy lawn.
Most lawns need 1 or 2 'winter cuts' if the weather is right although it does appear to be an early spring. Wouldn't panic too much tho, a couple of cold nights will slow everything down. I have a lovely Camelia that opened up on exactly the same day as last year(29th Jan), but I bet the Chancellor wont take that into account when the budget is announced!
Thanks for the advice. Which area do you gents live in. I am in the east midlands. Wife saw first bloom on our camellia
just yesterday, again early for us. High winds and rain today
The 800 approx miles between north and south of the British Isles does make for differences in flowering times,
etc. Have a relative just moved to Rochford.
