Hi, I am in desperate need of some advice regarding removing old vinyl tiles in my bathroom which seems to have been there forever.

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Depends how they were stuck up.

If it was with wallpaper paste, use a scraper to slice the tile off. They should come away pretty cleanly, then just clean/lightly sand the surface.

If they were put up with a glue, chances are it was using the spot blob method (a bit each corner and in the middle) as this glue was pretty hard to spread on a fragile tile. Just break away the tile where you can, which will leave the blobs, Some, you WILL be able to just slice off no problem, but if you do encounter hard ones, soften with a heat gun, and then work it off with a slicer. The blob will be hot, so watch carpets, clothes, skin etc.
